We want to be a BRIDGE to help people get from where they are to where God wants them to be.

In 2021 we added 13 new believers, 30 baptisms, and over 60 new members. Last year alone we have had 31 first time decisions to follow Christ. We had 35 baptisms and added 64 new members. Our children’s ministry has grown from 40-50 (Birth-5th grade) on Sunday mornings, to running over 100 regularly. It has been an incredible blessing to see our church go from 250 people to averaging 485 to 520 most Sundays. God is doing big things at Lakeside and we don't want our space to restrict our growth.

As we have grown, we started a third service. That service has allowed us to accommodate more families and provide another worship experience for people in our community. We are seeing the blessing of parking lots being full, but now we are running out of places to park. This causes bottlenecking between services in the parking lot as well as the lobby.

Lakeside Building Initiative 2023

Why the need:

Pre-Covid we were averaging 250 people on sunday mornings. Here is how things have changed since:

Statistics say that a family will determine if they will return after the first five minutes of their visit. Imagine there is nowhere to park and you are on your first visit. It would be easy to turn around and go home.

There is a general rule within churches that once you hit 80% seating capacity, church attendance will eventually plateau. We would never want a visitor to leave because they could not find a seat in one of our services. These two scenarios break our heart and leave us with a desire to make sure we are doing our very best to meet the needs of our community.

A Letter From Our Pastor

Our Needs

1) We are starting to have limited amount of seats in our worship services. We recognize that there is a real need to build a new worship center to accommodate our current needs and continue reaching our community.

2) A core value here at Lakeside is that we will invest in the next generation. One way of doing that is adding space to support our children’s ministry. We need to expand our current children’s wing to provide classroom space for this thriving ministry.

● We want to make sure we have the space available for growth within the church.

● We also recognize that the Lake area is growing and we need to be ready for what is to come.

More Behind Our Why

  1. People need a church home.

We want to be able to live out our mission. To help be a bridge from where they are to where God wants them to be.

2. We would like to make have the space to meet our people’s needs.

We want to experience Jesus where we gather to worship. We long for heaven to be a little more full because we exist.

3) Parents and children need a comfortable and safe place to bring their kids to learn about Jesus.
